Campus Safety & Emergency Services
Funding to install closed-circuit television surveillance cameras in locations where the opportunity for crime is increased, adequate surveillance is limited and faculty, and staff and students’ personal safety is at risk. Provide campus safety training for vulnerable units on campus.

Health, Safety & Wellbeing
Provide faculty and staff with targeted education on de-escalation strategies (practical tools to identify, prevent and de-escalate crisis). The training is geared to vulnerable populations (those who have a high contact volume with students, staff and visitors) across campus.

Student Experience (Wellness & Well-being)
Funding for student events that include sexual wellness, healthy neurodivergent relationships, eco-feminism and violence, Pride, and transforming tension – learning healthy ways to process and release anger and frustration. Commission unique designs for stickers and colouring pages to promote GBSV services. Services from a local violence prevention organization that specializes in respondent education. Provide education and resource kits to survivors accessing Student Support and Case Management Services and to priority at-risk populations via campus partners. Provide survivor-centric programming. Provide training to Sexual Violence Response Team with respect to fundamental administrative law principles in postsecondary settings and training on skills for relational engagement with survivors and respondents.

Student Experience (Student Engagement)
Funding to offer Care Hubs during OWeek that provide a range of services, supports and resources to reach students during their initial transition to ³ÉÈË´óƬ.

University Students’ Council (USC)
Funding for speakers and artists to create a foundation for students to engage in conversations on topics such as safe and healthy relationships; women’s rights and empowerment; campus safety; Indigenous rights; healthy sexuality; anti-oppression frameworks. Provide transportation to students after late night community building activities during OWeek.

³ÉÈË´óƬ’s Office of Indigenous Initiatives
Funding to provide Indigenous students with access to safe transportation options during vulnerable hours on campus. Equip Indigenous students with personal safety alarms to enhance their sense of security and confidence while moving through their communities and accessing cultural knowledge opportunities offered on campus.

Equity, Diversity and Inclusion and The Indigenous Student Centre
Funding for a workshop on how to provide active (versus performative) solidarity with Queer Women and Transgendered Women; best practices for dismantling and preventing systemic discrimination as well as interpersonal discrimination; best practices for Gender expansive language; and the importance of pronouns.

Housing & ³ÉÈË´óƬ Retail Services (Residence Education & Programs)
Funding for a keynote speaker to educate students about the importance of communication, mutual respect, safe dating and consent in healthy relationships. Training for Residence Life Coordinators, Dons, REAs and RSAs to assist residents with transition from high school to university and provide students with supportive and safe living and learning environments.

Student Experience (Wellness & Well-being)
Funding to provide men with an opportunity to learn about masculinity, healthy relationships, sexuality and how they can help create a safer campus for all. Provide personal safety alarms to students who identified a safety concern. Provide external counselling for student perpetrators of sexual violence. Provide training to staff who work with respondents across campus. Host various events to reshape conversations of GBSV, consent and sexual wellness.  Provide workshop series designed to foster a sense of community in a non-judgmental, inclusive environment for survivors. Provide training to staff on trauma-informed service delivery and best practices for working with students who have committed sexual violence with a lens on the principles of restorative and transformative justice.

University Students’ Council (USC)
Funding to generate awareness on sexual violence and prevention strategies, creating a foundation for students to engage in conversations, guarantee student safety and foster a sense of community and belonging through open conversations with peers in a controlled and safe environment. Provide transportation to students after late night community building activities during OWeek.

³ÉÈË´óƬ Foot Patrol
Purchase of a new base radio used by the dispatcher to communicate with teams who carry handheld radios. The new base radio will allow clear and stable communications between the volunteer dispatcher and volunteer teams.
