Policies & Procedures

Remember that parking lots at the University are private property. Purchase of any parking permit or day pass constitutes an agreement from the purchaser to abide to the rules and regulations approved for the University community by the Board of Governors.

1.37 Parking and Traffic Regulations

Please do not ignore your parking ticket!

Accounts with unpaid fines run the risk of the following actions:

  • Parking privileges revoked
  • Academic records sealed
  • Vehicles towed
  • Account balance transferred to a collection agency

Students who incur parking infractions are encouraged to pay or appeal tickets, as appropriate, within 14 days. Students with outstanding accounts run the risk of having their academic records sealed.

It is the student's responsibility to ensure that all fees are paid.  Students may view their account balance online at .

Outstanding accounts may be refereed to a collection agency.  The University's collection agency will protect all personal information in its possession or control in accordance with all applicable privacy and data protection laws.  Failure to make payment in full by the due date on the statement of account or arrange a deferment will result in financial and academic sanctions.

Automatic Licence Plate Recognition is a parking management technology that uses cameras mounted on authorized Parking Services vehicles to capture and read licence plates while patrolling campus parking areas.

The system checks licence plate information against the parking database to confirm whether a vehicle has permission to park on campus.
