Crisis & Emergency

For a life-threatening emergency please call 911.

³ÉÈË´óÆ¬ Special Constable Service

If you're calling from a cell phone, dial 519-661-3300.

If you're calling from a campus landline, dial 911 or extension 83300.

For Parents

If you are unable to reach your student and are concerned, you may request a Wellness Check. In a Wellness Check, a police constable can go to the student's home to talk with them and assess if they need support. If the constable is concerned, they can transport the student to a facility where they can receive the support the need. If the student lives on campus, you call ³ÉÈË´óÆ¬ Special Constables Service at (519)-661-3300. If the student lives off campus, call London Police Service, (519) 661-5670 or 9-1-1. If you believe risk of suicide is imminent, call 9-1-1.

A free and confidential mental health and addiction support line (519-433-2023) for people living in London, Middlesex, Oxford, and Elgin counties. Find phone, text, and webchat support for anyone who needs help for themselves or someone they care about.

Good2Talk – Confidential Helpline Phone, Text or Message

A 24/7 free,confidential and multilingual support service for post-secondary students in Ontario by call, text and online messaging. Call 1-866-925-5454, text "GOOD2TALKON" to 686868 or message online at Good2Talk.ca.

First Nations and Inuit Hope for Wellness Help Line

Available to all Indigenous peoples, this 24-hour culturally relevant crisis intervention counselling can be accessed via phone (1-855-242-3310) or website messaging.

9-8-8: Suicide Crisis Helpline

Call or text 9-8-8 wherever you are in Canada to talk to a trained responder if you or someone you know needs support with thoughts of suicide, or has lost hope and are struggling to cope. Available 24 hours a day, every day of the year.

CMHA Mental Health & Addictions Crisis Centre

In-person & walk-in mental health and addictions supports to individuals living in London and the counties of Elgin, Middlesex, Oxford, and South Huron. In London, 24/7 support (including holidays and weekends) is available at 648 Huron Street, N5Y4J8.

Community Health Supports

These supports can provide intermediary care when a student isn't in crisis, but has a health concern beyond the scope of our care.

St. Joseph’s Urgent Care

Access care for non-life-threatening illness or injury requiring immediate care, including fever, earaches, eye injuries, cuts, sprains, broken bones or any injury that cannot wait for a family physician. Located at 268 Grosvenor St, London, ON they open daily at 8 a.m.

University Hospital

24/7 emergency assessments are available at this location. Located at 339 Windermere Road, near the north end of ³ÉÈË´óÆ¬ Campus.

Victoria Hospital

Provides 24/7 emergency assessments and psychiatric care. Located at 800 Commissioners Rd E, in the south of London, Ontario.

Telehealth Ontario

Access safe, high-quality care and avoid unnecessary visits to the emergency room through fast, free medical advice from a registered nurse. You can call or message them through a live chat.

Anova

Anova offers a 24/7 crisis line for those experiencing gender-based violence or supporting someone who has experienced gender-based or sexual violence.

Regional Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Treatment Program

A team of specialized nurses, doctors and social workers provide care to people of any age, gender or sexual identity experiencing sexual assault and/or domestic violence living in Oxford, Elgin, Huron-Perth and Middlesex counties at no cost.
